About This Work
A larger take on a familiar object
The Giant Fortune Cookies take the familiar shape of a fortune cookie and remake it at a larger scale in clay. Handbuilt in stoneware, each piece brings more attention to the form, surface, and weight of an everyday object.
This series grew out of my smaller ceramic fortune cookies and continues my interest in scale, material, and repetition. Each variation has its own character, shaped by different glazes, clay bodies, and firing results.
